SEN Series

Kalathari 4 CEU. 2 day course. advanced class.

In Traditional Thai Medicine, it is believed that there are invisible pathways within the being along which our potential can flow. Wherever this flow is impeded, we experience pain or restrictions. The Thai system has ten names for the most important Sen (pathways). In getting to know these pathways, we cover some sen theory at the beginning of each class and then get right to our hands-on practice. Our goal is to help restore balance to the person we touch. Sen Kalathari involves both yin and yang pathways on the feet, legs, hips, back, shoulders, arms and hands. Kalathari covers more territory than any other sen, so we start here:

prerequisite; some prior Thai Massage study

Itta-Pinkala 2 CEU. 1 day course. advanced class.

Thai Massage moves which Massage Therapists LOVE ...to have done TO them.

You are sure to benefit.

6 hr. CE (NCBTMB and NYS certified) course

consisting of three consecutive, weekly lessons in which the students immediately pair up with a classmate and decide who is up and who is down. After an appraisal of the receiver's health history, the balance of the time will be divided equally between giving and receiving so each member can expect to receive work from an experienced therapist who is watching the teacher performing the demos on another body.

Intended to be an advanced Thai Massage course which presents specialized techniques targeting hand, wrist, forearm, shoulder girdle and low-back pain all on the first day. Day II follows with additional detailed hand massage and focuses on balancing the posterior and anterior torso. The third segment of the course integrates prone and seated protocols for the low-back and shoulder girdle to make it a tidy package for you to stand out from the crowd wether your goal is to enhance the therapeutic value for your customers or exchange treatments with other gifted colleagues who may have many options.

Each unit also stands on it’s own as a set of specialized treatments catering to many people with hard working hands. Students may choose to participate for just 1 or 2 days for a different rate but to get the CE credits all three parts must be attended. The intention is for this to be beneficial for the student even if they have already attended the unit in the past since they will likely pair up with a different Lmt. each time.

2-hr.Thai Massage Clinic (WORKSHOP) 30 minutes after every class, so the students can join and have an opportunity to practice these moves again under the supervision of the same teacher to improve retention.

Prerequisite: Your own Thai Massage practice. (Some training and experience rendering Thai Massage)

Table Thai

Expanding your toolbox.

Table Thai is a two-day course that teaches students the fundamentals of a full-body Thai massage protocol performed on a massage table.

Traditionally performed on a mat on the floor,

Thai massage

is a modality that incorporates stretching techniques

in the form of yoga-like postures

and a meditative approach to the work

based in Ayurvedic

and

Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The objective of this course is to offer students an alternative way of giving Thai massage, for those who may have physical limitations for working on the floor, or for settings where only a massage table is available.

Additionally, this course endeavors to introduce an eastern-based massage modality that will provide therapists with wider marketing potential to employers and clients.
Prerequisite: Course is open to licensed massage therapists.

Short Route to the Twist

This 3-hour Thai massage course presents specialized techniques targeting the upper body, catering to clients with hard-working hands and backs..

3 hr. CE (NCBTMB and NYS certified) Advanced Thai Massage course

Students will immediately pair up. After an appraisal of the receiver’s health history, the time will be divided equally between giving and receiving, so each member of the class can expect to receive work from a therapist who is watching the instructor perform the demos on another body.

The demo begins with the feet and legs, but the intention is to connect with the client and then take a short route through the sensibility of a Traditional Thai sequence (without rushing) in order to get to the upper body within the first 10 minutes.

The remaining segment is a practice in multitasking as the hand, wrist and forearm massage can be performed while the practitioner uses the feet to massage the shoulder girdle and the back while working with the receiver in a twisted position.

The intention is for this to be attractive for every student even if they have already attended this unit in the past since they will likely benefit from the practice of each partner and different strategies will be presented each time.

Techniques will be practiced on a mat, but students will find that they can easily adapt what they have learned to a massage table or chair..

Prerequisite: Course is open to licensed massage therapists who have some prior education and experience with Thai massage.
